Examining Point of View Through Letter Writing
Activity:
First Period: Mini-Lesson:
1. Give students time to choose a character and create their own letters to persuade the Mayor that the building of the park is a good idea/bad idea. 2. When students are done allow for peer editing.

Learning Objectives:
Students will identify point of view and link it to perspective in writing. The goal of this activity is to create an authentic writing opportunity that motivates students to write persuasive letters from different characters point of view.
