At the foundation of every good program is a very organized classroom. Without good organization the classroom cannot function at its best.
Here are a few neat ideas to help declutter our room, that didn't already fall into a category on the website. (Of course, this is a small list of many)

Anchor Chart Binder

Too much text on the walls can overwhelm the students (and teacher!)
Post only what is necessary, useful & relevant to the students' learning
Photographs of each anchor chart are copied into several binders, & placed into designated spots around the room for children to access when they need them

Date Stapler

This stapler not only holds the pages together, but also organizes the class by adding the date to the page.
This is especially useful when a teacher makes notes and staples them to children's work to keep filed away for parent interviews or for further assessment.

To save on space, we keep the puzzles pieces in pencil cases.

No Name Wall

The class is usually pretty good about writing their names on their work but occasionally we find pieces of paper with no names. Instead of repeatedly asking who they belong to, the work is hung up on the "No Name Wall"- conveniently located next to the children's class cubbies. Both the teacher and the students can place work on the wall, so the teacher does not have to be informed when a nameless paper is found.

A coloured pom pom hot glue gunned to the end of the marker is used as a white board eraser.

Classroom Jobs

For classroom jobs, we use an "iHelp" board where the students names would be written underneath the pictures and the job titles.
Each job card is attached onto the board using velcro, so they can easily be changed, added or removed.
On the back of each card is an explanation of the job tasks.
